Mental health matters
Developing mental health inpatient services in Lancashire and providing care which is second to none
Mental health matters* is the name of the biggest programme of improvement in mental health hospital services ever seen in Lancashire. The £150m scheme, which is being carried out by Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust over the next 10 years, will provide inpatient mental health services that are fit for the 21st century, replacing the trust's existing wards which are not fit for purpose.
Mental health matters is about so much more than new buildings. It is about transforming all the trust’s services to provide the best possible experience and outcome for people with mental health problems in Lancashire. The aim of the Service Transformation Programme is to promote best practice and to deliver innovative changes across inpatient and community-based services. Importantly, it will be driven by the views and experiences of people who use mental health services, carers, advocates and staff and provide an opportunity for their ideas to be tested.
The Service Transformation Programme Team is based at Sceptre Point, Sceptre Way, Bamber Bridge, Preston, PR5 6AW.
